Exchanges usually do not withdraw hryvnia directly to cards of Ukrainian banks, so USDT is turned into hryvnia through P2P: you sell USDT to a buyer, they send hryvnia to your card, and the exchange holds your USDT in escrow until you confirm receipt. This is how it works in practice.
What to prepare
- An exchange account with completed verification (Binance, Bybit, OKX, HTX, KuCoin or Bitget).
- USDT in the exchange's spot or funding wallet. If your coins are elsewhere, first transfer them to the exchange using a network both sides support (often TRC20).
- Add your own card or IBAN as a receiving method in the P2P settings. The holder's name must match the name on your exchange account.
- Check where the best selling price is now: the USDT rate page shows the highest reliable price across exchanges.
Selling USDT step by step
- Open P2P → Sell → USDT → UAH. Pick your bank in the payment method filter.
- Choose a reliable buyer: 50+ trades and 92%+ completion, with limits that fit your amount.
- Enter the USDT amount and create the order. The exchange freezes your coins in escrow.
- Wait for the buyer to mark the payment as made. Do not release USDT until the money has actually arrived in your account.
- Open your bank app and check the incoming transfer: amount, sender, time. A screenshot from the buyer is not enough.
- Only then press "Confirm receipt" and release the USDT.
Typical risks and how to avoid them
- Third-party payment. If the money came from a person with a different name, tell the order chat and do not release the coins until it is resolved: the bank may block the card.
- "The payment is on its way". They ask you to release USDT because the transfer has not arrived yet. Do not release until your balance changes.
- Partial payment. If a smaller amount arrived, release only the proportional part or open an appeal.
- Deals outside the exchange. Any "let's do it directly" breaks escrow protection, see our guide to fake P2P ads.
What it costs
On most exchanges a P2P sale has no fee for the seller or only a small one, but your bank may have limits and fees for incoming transfers. The main "cost" is the gap between your selling price and the rate you expected. Compare offers across exchanges: this spread differs by a few percent. Always check current fees on the exchange itself.

Frequently asked questions
Usually not: for hryvnia cards of Ukrainian banks the main route is P2P, where another person sends the hryvnia. Available options depend on the exchange, so check the current ones in its app.
Monobank and PrivatBank appear most often in ads, so they have the most buyers and the best prices. There is a separate article comparing banks.
The deal itself usually takes 5-15 minutes if the buyer pays right away. It depends on the buyer and the bank.
Accept payment only from the person named in the order, return money if needed, and never run other people's deals through your card.
