Ukrainian media reported that Binance is ending its work with the hryvnia in two formats: through the Fiat Trade UAH service (hryvnia deposits and withdrawals) and through the USDT/UAH spot pair. Below is what is known as of 9 October 2026 and what it changes for an ordinary user. Always check the exact terms against Binance's official announcement.

What exactly changed

  • From 28 September 2026, 10:00 Kyiv time hryvnia deposits and withdrawals through Fiat Trade UAH stopped.
  • At the same moment trading of the USDT/UAH spot pair was closed. Open orders in this pair are cancelled automatically.
  • Hryvnia left on balances is automatically converted to USDT by 30 September, 19:00 Kyiv time, at a fixed rate of 1 USDT = 46.5 UAH.

What did not change: P2P works

Binance P2P, meaning escrow-protected deals between users, keeps working. You can still buy or sell USDT for hryvnia by sending money from a bank card to the chosen seller. The only difference is that hryvnia is no longer credited to the exchange balance itself: the deal goes directly between two people. The difference between the two models is explained in Does Binance P2P still work after Fiat Trade closed.

What to do if you had a hryvnia balance

  1. Open your wallet history on Binance and check that the hryvnia turned into USDT. It was supposed to convert automatically.
  2. If you want hryvnia back on your card, sell the USDT through P2P. Step by step: How to sell USDT for hryvnia through P2P.
  3. If the funds were not converted or you see a mismatch, contact Binance support with your UID and a screenshot.

Should you keep using Binance

Binance P2P remains one of the largest P2P platforms, but it is no longer the only option. Bybit, OKX, KuCoin, HTX and Bitget also operate, and their prices at the same moment can differ. On 8 October 2026 we recorded the cheapest USDT purchase at about 45.45 UAH on Binance and 46.18 UAH on Bybit, a gap of about 1.6% between exchanges. This is a snapshot of one moment, not a forecast: see live prices on the USDT to UAH rate page or in the MetaRates app.
