Monobank is the payment method you see most often in P2P ads for hryvnia: it is listed in most ads on the exchanges. Here is how to buy USDT paying from a Monobank card and what to watch out for.

Preparation

  1. Create an account on an exchange (Binance, Bybit, OKX, HTX, KuCoin or Bitget) and pass verification.
  2. In the P2P section add Monobank as a payment method. The name on the account must match the name on the exchange.
  3. Open the USDT rate with Monobank: it shows which exchange currently has the lowest price for this exact method.

Buying step by step

  1. Pick the exchange with the best price and open P2P → Buy → USDT → UAH. In the payment filter choose Monobank.
  2. Check the ads: number of trades, completion rate, limits. Treat a seller with 50+ trades and 92%+ completion as reliable, as in our methodology.
  3. Enter the amount and create the order. The exchange locks the seller's USDT in escrow.
  4. Open the Monobank app and transfer exactly to the details in the order (card number or IBAN, amount). Do not write anything about crypto in the comment unless asked.
  5. Return to the exchange and press "I have paid". Wait for the seller to release the USDT.

Safety

  • Pay only from your own card: third-party transfers can get your account blocked.
  • Compare the recipient name with the order details. If it does not match, stop and write in the order chat.
  • Do not complete the trade if a seller suggests "closing the order outside the exchange" or "paying later".
  • Start with small amounts for your first trades to get a feel for the process.

What it costs

The exchange does not charge the buyer in P2P, but your bank may have its own transfer tariffs. The seller's margin is also built into the price: compare it with other methods on the rate page, because the gap between banks can sometimes reach a few percent.

This is not financial advice; check the terms on the exchange itself before trading.
