When Is USDT Cheapest to Buy for Hryvnia: By Hour and Day

The USDT price in P2P moves not only by day but also by hour. Here is what our samples across six exchanges show and how to use it.

The USDT/UAH rate in P2P is not fixed: every seller sets their own price, and most ads react to demand. That is why for a few hours a day buying is cheaper. We measure the best reliable prices on six exchanges several times an hour and collect them in a monthly USDT market report.

What our samples show

For the start of October 2026 the lowest average buy price fell in the morning, roughly 05:00-07:00 Kyiv time, and the highest in the middle of the day. The gap between the cheapest and the priciest hour is small, usually a fraction of a percent, but on larger amounts it shows: on 100,000 UAH a tenth of a percent is 100 hryvnia.

This effect is not guaranteed and may change: it depends on the NBU rate, market sentiment and the number of active sellers. For the current picture see the report for the current month.

Why mornings are cheaper

  • At night and in the morning there are fewer buyers, so sellers lower the price to close the order faster.
  • During the day demand is higher (salaries, payments, working hours), so prices rise.
  • Weekend activity usually differs from weekdays, though the gap between days is smaller than between hours.

How to use it

  1. If the amount is large and you are not in a hurry, plan the purchase for the morning.
  2. Always compare exchanges: the gap between the cheapest and the priciest exchange at one moment is often bigger than the gap between hours. See Binance vs Bybit.
  3. Set a price-dip alert: the app sends a push when the price falls below the weekly average.
  4. Do not trade reliability for pennies: an order from a seller with a low rating is not worth the saving.

Limits of our data

We measure only public P2P ads of reliable sellers (50+ trades, 92%+). This is not all of the market's liquidity, and the picture differs from month to month. This article is not a guarantee or financial advice.
